looking to buy this machine for 6000.its a 72 d450 6 wayblade newer engine, with leaky injection pump.leaks in to crank case,no brakes,and the tracks seem to have good grouser but idler slides are worn out,track adjuster both will loose tension,and the tracks are close to 100% worn,tracks come off in hard turns. is this dozer worth it? thanks in advance

I agree with Roy its a parts machine. The tracks and undercarrage, pump and the long list of other things your sure to find is going to run you in the 8 to 10 grand range in parts at least. On my 450C just changing the fluids and filters alone runs $300 plus. I am already finding small things here and there, it all adds up fast with todays parts prices.

Do you really want that machine?? Seems like a lotta stuff wrong with it...Costly stuff...And thats the things you know about.....What about the frame rails ?? clutch housing bolts?? Unless you're real handy fixin' stuff, I think you're looking at a money pit..I've been around Deere equipment for almost 30 years and I wouldn't think of purchasing it unless I needed a parts donor machine....
