Here is a picture of where the engine seems to be stuck, not allowing me to remove it. Is this a dowel pin? It wouldn't be bolted from the inside the housing, would it? If I looking into this "hole" the tip is painted orange. The engine is free at the bottom where the studs are, and a 1/2 gap can be gotten at the bottom, but it is stuck around the area marked up to the top.

Thanks,
Jon

Jon; There is a stud on each side of the block a the top. You should be able to get the nuts off from the rear. Hope this helps.

That's kind of what I was afraid of. The manual just mentioned the 2 studs at the bottom and one in the front. I was hoping to remove the engine without removing the shuttle shift unit. There's no way to get to those nuts without removing that unit.

Thanks,
Jon

Don't know for sure on that model but, i tore into a massey here while back forget the size but after removing the fuel tank found there was 2 bolts from the back side that was the same size as the others but they were allen head or hex head about 3/8 or 7/16 don't remember for sure but that could be your problem and if it is they are a bugger to get to good luck and don't break anything that could be expensive to repair. leo
