I purchased this old beast today and began pushing
some pretty heavy stuff when what seems like the left clutch starts to slip then the right starts shortly after that, i know the main clutch is holding because when i look down and the tracks are stoped the driveshaft is still turn is there any kind of adjustment on this,BTW it had been sitting a few year prior.Any help would be very helpful. Thanks Brad

either on the top of the transmission or on the back there should be a cover to access the steering clutch on each side open it and see if water or oil has gotten in there if so there should also be a plug on the bottom under each side possibly a hex wrench needed take out the plug to drain the compartment might have to take some solvent and put in to wash the oil out if thats what is in there if no plug see if it was left out in the past and some mud / debris is in you will have to get it out to drain now then you can adjust it by checking the band clearence on bottom then in the top cover there should be linkage for the adjustment not sure about specs but as long as it doesen't get hot or to warm should work fine the band inthere is the brake.

Yeah that probably explains why the right side pulls longer than the left, the old owner drained the right side but not the left he also said i need to spray some cleaner down in there.he said that was the reason the brakes didn't work very well,so i guess thats why the clutches aren't working very well either.i didn't know the clutch&brakes were in the same area cause if only had it for a few hours. thanks for your response.
