I posted a picture in the Photo Gallery under Help Identify of a John Deere bulldozer. I would like any information on this dozer (Year, model, tips, reliability, specs,etc.). Thanks.

Tweeter,

From the picture it looks very much like a JD450, possibly a 1968 model. It looks exactly the same as my one which is the 1968 model. I have the same blade arrangement, also a 2 yd bucket and a winch in the rear along with a cab/canopy.

On the seat rail on the right hand side there should be a JD tag. This will have your model number stamped on it.

Okay, got it.
It is a 350 or 450 alright.
350 is a 3 cylinder and will have shifter in front of the seat between you legs, and if reverser crawler, on the left side of dash or LH arm rest.
450 is a 4 cylinder, range shifter by the RH arm rest, HLR shifter on the floor.
Hope this helps.

I'm no expert. But by the look of the arm rests, it would appear to be a jd350 or jd450. There appears to be a reverser lever on the left armrest, so that could make it a 350B or newer. (It could be a strait 350 someone converted the reverser lever to the armrest)

Look at the data tag under the front edge of the seat and get the model number and serial number, then you can get all the info you want.
