850 c case crawler converter heat ing problem

My 850 case dozer seems to run hot on the converter guage while pushing.Question:What should I look for as the oil guage shows to the full mark?Thank you for any help you can give me!Dave A

Make sure the radiator and oil cooler(s) are completely cleaned out so that air can freely go through all of them (pressure washing works good). Make sure the fan shroud is in place and the belts are tight too. Lastly ensure the brakes aren't dragging and the transmission pressure is within limits (otherwise you'll get clutch slippage and HEAT).

My 850D had the same problem.I replaced the thermostat on the transmission cooling circuit and the problem went away.Thermostat on 850d is located under the floor plates and can be accessed from the top.
