Mitsubishi BD2G Dozer looking for info

Hi Folks, I recently had the good fortune (or mis-fortune lol) to acquire a BD2G dozer in good condition. Had been somewhat reconditioned and painted. Seems to run strong & operates well. This is the only online web forum that I could find on dozers & such so I thought I would post here looking for some info. I have searched the forum for the BD2G and have found some helpful info, but not on the following:

Anyone know the weight of the BD2G with a 6-way blade. All I have found is under 10000lb's. The guy a got it from said 7500Lb maybe, maybe more ?

The electronics. Only the Oil and Charge lights work. The temp & fuel gauge do not. Anyone with experience in this area ? I am thinking of installing mechanical temp & oil gauges.

Steering. Steers well when going forward but requires more effort when in reverse. I have tried to get the adjustments as close to the measurements in the manual as possible but can not get the left lever to stroke as far as the right lever. Additionally the adjustment nut on the brake on the leftside is very stiff as opposed to the rightside. Don't know if this would have any bearing on anything though.

Finally, the drain/fill fittings on the final drives and hydraulic tank. What are the sizes and what tool to remove them. Are they a Torx type fitting ?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Greg

I know the final drives look like a large torx fitting they are not. Use a 3/4 drive handle,it fits them and they unscrew in the standard righty tighty lefty loosey directions. I just rebuilt my steering clutches/ and clutch cylinders on my BD2GII it steers sweet now. It is possible to remove the threaded part off of the left brake band and clean the threads and antiseize it without much trouble. Mine had gotten stiff on that side also.

Hi.
Try Rhine Equipment...I think they're in Tecoma.
I owned one of these a while ago.....good machine, but not easy to get parts for in Australia.Put a ripper on the rear...much easier on the machine to scarify the ground before dozing.
