It goes off when first started but after a few minutes of working it comes on ...I changed the oil cleaned the screen and put a new filter on ...I filled it with ford atf type fa transmision fluid... but the problem persist...I need help ...any sugestions.... will it damage the tranny 4 speed with( synchro shift) to continue to use it or how does one check this problem and trobleshoot it.. I really could use some help... as jcb seems to be unresponsive to questions..

JCB will not answer your questions directly, however they should put you in contact with your local dealer, they will not bypass thier dealer network. Check your main line tansmission pressure at 50 degC in N Fwd and Rev, It should dip slightly when changing then build back up to pressure, a low reading in Fwd or Rev but ok in N will indicate a leak in that clutch or the shaft seals. If the pressure is ok replace the faulty sender unit. In cases where the lamp lights on changing then goes out when the change of direction has been completed a modification to the circuit of the lamp came out last year to solve this, but this is unlikley to occur on a syncroshift as only one clutch pack is being filled at one time. If the pressure is low continuing to run it will cause serious damage to the transmission, namely the Fwd and Rev clutches.

The setup inside the box is a four speed manual gearbox with a forward and reverse clutch packs, when you move the lever and select a direction oil pressure squeezes the selected clutch pack together causing it to engage and the machine will drive,if the oil pressure is low the clutch would not be held together as tightly and would slip, you would have noticed that when pushing with the front bucket,if the machine is lively it means it has enough pressure and is ok to use,the pro way to go would be to test the pressure with a suitable gauge, look at the picture Iv'e posted of the shuttle box,you will see the test point if you had the right gauge, the pressure switch is also shown, the relief valve is under #16,you could undo the plug, remove the spring and valve to check there is nothing under the seat, but first I would replace the oil pressure switch,if you still have the problem well pressure test.
Good Luck

Hey AJK, can you look at my question regarding frothing tranny fluid and see what you think? new today.

Also someone suggested checking for air leaks around the suction tube, question, I got your tranny exploded view,... where is the suction tube is it where the metal strainer is AND could it be sucking air from there (the strainer gasket leak possibly??) there is awful lot of bubbles and going through with the fluid... do you have a parts list to go with the blow out picture?

Thanks
Mike

If your machine is pushing ok it maybe just the the oil pressure sender unit thats at fault, check to see that wire going on to the sender is not making ground anywhere,if thats ok change the sender,if you got a manual test gauge you could take a reading from where the sender goes and that will tell you the condition of the charge pump,it is seldom they give trouble but it is a 17 year old machine, you won't damage anything while the machine is pushing good.
