I pull on the rt. side & it breaksover and works properly. Lf, side steering clutch pulls back 4-5 inches. . will not breakover to disengage clutch.
Lf clutch appears engaged at all times. If I crawl under (rear)and look up, it moves a small amount when I pull lever. Why is it engaged all the time? Not disengage? or clutch lever not come back all the way, like the right side?? How do I fix , repair or adjust?? Thanks in advance. Can send pics if needed.

First, if you don"t have a manual and don"t know how to adjust the clutch properly, get one. In the mean time, plug the drain on the bottom and fill with diesel, let soak overnight, then bump it around and see if it feels different. If it does then the clutch is rusty, dirty, stuck, or worn. Drain and refill with thinners, drain again, to dry it out if this works. These machine are not that bad to work on if you know the tricks to avoid problems. let me know how you manage.

Brad you have what is called a stuck steering
clutch all the little disk are stuck to each other. Sometimes you can tie the lever back and
bump a stump or something but most times you have to pull the steering clutch out. Some reall funky little connections dow in a close place.
Would have to talk on phone to tell you how.
People still work on thes things I personaly would not fix it for the worth of the machine.
