I have a 77 RowCrop and it is getting stuck in two gears and not shifting correctly. I am not sure how its supposed to look when you remove the shifter and look in the tranny or check alignments of the shifter. The end of the shifter going into the tranny appears undamaged but not sure what to look for on the shifter sliding members or if their is a recommended procedure to align the sliders. I do not have a manual. Any help is appreciated

Bills right you need to post that down in the Oliver area. That said I have never had that type of problem with my 77s or S88. If you pull the shifter watch that you don't drop the 2 springs down in the tranny or your in for bigger trouble. If you need more info feel free to e-mail me and I can scan a page or 2 from the I-T shop manual I have that will explain pulling the shifter

Ross:

Sometimes the old Olivers will get stuck between gears and you can get them going again by removing the shift lever and then you can get things lined up.

I'd recommend you post this on the Oliver forum and you will probably get guys to answer that can you give a lot better advice than I have.
