I am new to JCB equipment and at first I thought that when I saw the reference 3cx it meant 3c(1,11,111). But then I saw some JCB newletter online and they also referenced the 3cx as though it were a model of its own. Can someone help me, when looking for a manual for my 3c mark III do I look for 3cx or specifically 3c mark III? Also I heard the serial number tag for the hoe is suppose to be located on the rt frt tower, either I don't know what they are referring to as the tower or the tag is missing, can someone tell me in laymans terms where is the id tag suppose to be. I was told this was an early 80's hoe.
Thanks

You need a manual for a 3cIII this is a totally different machine to the 3cx which went in to production in October 1980 and replaced the 3c range If your tag is missing the chassis number is normally stamped in the right hand chassis somwhere near and above the front axle. The position of the rigth hand tower refers to the frame near the piviot point of the front loader, and is coorect for a 3cx but I am not shure about a 3cIII. The 3cIII replaced the 3cII in Febuary 1977
