Can you remove the right brake without removeing the transmission from a case 450b. The right side doesn't stop the track . It had a stuck piston in the slave cylinder fixed that but still doesn;t stop the track. I have a service manual and it call for removal of transmision.I manualed pulled the brake level to see if maybe it wasn't moveing enough. that didn;t work. what else could it be. clutch disegages

I know the right brake assy on the older 450 can be removed without messing with the transmission. Not sure about the 450B. When you mention that the right brake does not stop the track, do you mean that the right track continues to have drive power? If so the problem could be as simple as air in the line. When the brake is applied there is a slave cylinder in the transmission that will disengage power to that track.

I found it easier to take the brake assys apart while on the machine, instead of trying to remove the whole assy first. On the left side I had problems clearing brackets etc.

Best of luck,
John
