I have this problem with my backhoe I need help with.
Every time I load the hydraulics, the front seal on the pump blows out. I am getting ready to put in the fourth one. This almost makes the machine useless.
Everything is clean and tight, no runnout in the pump, but when I really grab a bite, the seal blows out.
Help?
Brian

Could be pump shaft bushings are loose enough to allow pressure oil in larger volume to push seal lips out instead of allowing leakoff oil to go to suction side of pump. ports are inside of seal area..OR..the main relief valve is stuck..

Does it actualy come out of the pump housing? If so there are ways to retain it, you relief vlve may be stick and letting the prssure get to high.

The seal is not pushing out, the lip of the seal is flipping out.
