Hi all,

I just bought a well used Allis Chalmers HD-4 track-loader with Case backhoe attachment. It needs a little attention and so far I need to buy:
radiator hoses
bottom roller
shift knob
belt tensioner
starter parts
front engine pulley

Where is a good place to find this stuff? I am near Seattle, Washington but most any place could work as long as the quality and price is right. Thanks!

Randy

You can get just about any AC industrial part from an industrial, former AC, now AGCO dealer. I buy mine from Marshal Equipment in PA. Their number is 570-729-7117. They sell used parts, new old-stock AC parts, and new AGCO parts for AC crawlers. Some of the stuff you want you can get elsewhere and cheaper. Bottom rollers are still available from Berco and are direct fit. If you buy new from AC they will cost a lot and also require alterations to your rock-guards. Used rollers from an H3, HD3, 650, etc. will also fit. Shift knobs for any crawler or tractor can be bought cheap from any industrial supplier, e.g. Enco, McMaster-Carr, MSC, etc. The belt tensioner on your D2200 engine (or later 433 engine) is a generic hardware item. Four inch diameter and a 1/2 " pulley groove -and can be bought many places. Starter parts are also generic AC Delco and easy to get many places.
