The bearing went out, of the right rear axle/gear assembly, that drives the track. We took off the track (Jd.350 crawler/loader) to find there is a big gear on the inside of the housing, preventing the pulling of the axle shaft. Does anybody have any good instructions on the right way to dismantle this to replace what ever is bad inside, be it bearing or whatever. Should the whole outside be taken off to do this, or can it be gotten from the bottom. Appreciate any help. Thanks Steve W.

Pull the final drive off..Set it down with the axle flange toward the ground..Lift it up slightly onto blocks. Use a puller to press onto the small end of the shaft. [ bolt puller into the small inner bearing cover boltholes and press onto the end of the shaft after removing the cotter pin , nut , washer..Lift the final drive straight up with an engine puller [ hoist ]..Better get a book..
