Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the hydraulic main suction strainer is located on a 1978 3D111 machine. I found the plate on the bottom of the upright, but both sides have a plate so I don't know which one it is, or is there one in each side? I am changing the filter, so I figured I should clean the screen at the same time. Also, about how many gallons will it take to refill it. Thank you for any info.

Just follow the suction pipes back from the pumps, the strainers are on the end, go to the nearest access hole and they simply screw off by turning the whole filter. From memory there are 2 stainers, one for the main (crankshaft driven) pump and one for the power steering (timing case) pump and they are mounted towards the front of the Hydraframe.
