My 850 case crawler is using oil in the converter at a high rate when pushing it hard and was wondering where the oil could be going as there are no bad leaks.Getting spendy to keep adding after about 6 hrs(add about 5 gallons each time)Thanks for any advice,Dave Ahlgren

Dave,

As far as I kmow there is no place in that machine to hide extra oil , so it has to be leaking out on the ground . Look at brake mount seal and gaskets, converter output shaft seal, dripping from drain hole in flywheel housing ( seal inside converter housing
or possibly a crack around the nub that sets in the
flywheel ) , oil coller in radiator ( would over
fill the rad and go out the tube . One time I had a pinion shaft seal leak , over filled the final
drive housing and axle seal let it go out . In the 35 years that I have had case crawlers, I never had one that didn't show up on the out
side . Watch the ground for a shiny trail.

Look for any other compartment that might be gaining oil. Could be leaking at pump drive. I don't know much about your machine but just a thought.
