Hi all,
I'm trying to find a place to buy a hydraulic gauge locally, Northern Carries them but don't want to wait, would like to check by reverser preasures this weekend.
I have a grease gun hose, any thoughts on where I could find the gauge, would need 0-200 or 0-160 or so.
Thanks,
Joel

Thank you all very much, I did not know that a gauge for Air would work for oil too??
I'll head to NAPA in the morning. I know you guys would have some great ideas. I'm looking forward to going through a thorough walkthrough of the reverser plumbing. My deere dealership had the reverser filter, got it today. I'll drain oil, replace filter, replace oil with new and then go through the test procedures. I got my manuals yesterday and am ready to dig in. I really like this machine, want to keep it in good shape. JD 350B 6 way.
Thanks again,
Joel

Do you know anyone who has an old compression tester gage? That's about the pressures they run at.

For what you want to do, and you want one in a hurry, a cheap air-pressure gauge will work just fine - like you'd have in an air-compressor. Most plumbing shops will have them for less than $10. Gauges used for water-pressure are fine also (usually the same gauge). Some come 0-100, some 0-200, 0-300, etc. Same sort of gauge is often carried in truck shops for air-brake pressure but you pay a little more for the fancy lettering. Last one I bought is 0-200 PSI.

try your local tractor dealer. I know Cat carries them from cheap 30.00 or less to high dollar. Napa dealses, Snap on Tools, Matco & MAC also have test guages

Thanks, searching the web earlier for one near my house. Not sure if anyone knew of a spot I would not ordinarily think of. For example, auto parts store, but the test gauges I've seen them carry don't go up high enough, top out at 100psi.
Thanks for the note, amazing how small the world is getting. I'm in NH USA, but spent some time in Poole, Rugby, Bath, Glascow, etc. Beautifull country.

A welding supply house might have what you need. I have an O2 gage on my hydraulic system.
