IH 500C crawler wont move - big leak

I just started a 500c deisel crawler which had been sitting in a shed for 5 years. Engine ran fine, but when attempting to move forward, the system sprang a leak and dumped a lot of what appears to be trans fluid. Before I start tearing in, I'd like to know if there are external hoses associated with the transmission/shuttle of this crawler. Otherwise, what could the problem be?

You will probably have to pull the belly pans off to check the hoses from underneath. On my 500 E it is easier to access if you run it up on railroad ties to make more clearance.

IH with shuttle has a pump in front of transmition if it did not leak until you started it the hoses are probably ok.
the pump has steel lines with "O"rings that feed the reverser valve. there is a port on the bottom of the reverser for pressure gauge, also the line to the oil cooler is on the pressure side of the valve(left side of front transmision)

How do I access the oil cool lines at the reverser valve? I'm guessing from the top after removing the floor pan, but I have not been under the tractor (too thick to fit), so advice regarding easiest route to examine the potential problem is greatly appreciated.

The end of the story - after installing 2 new trans filters, and adding 5 gal of Hy-Tran, the system worked well and without leaking. I can only assume that the original filters were the problem.
