The small plate underneath will reveal drain plugs for chaincase and fuel tank as well. Usually have to dig for them tho' as years of grease, wet mud, etc. gets up in there. When you find them there will an aluminum stopper I guess you could call it pushed in the middle of a rubber grommet.
The aluminum part is what you need out but usually the whole thing comes out stopper and grommet which is not bad but the grommet usually is hard to go back in as diesel fuel swells it out over time. Good Luck

As far as I know there is no drain plug on the fuel tank. However if it has a squeeze bulb on the fuel line just before the fuel pump you can disconnect the fuel line from the pump and remonve all of the fuel from the tank by squeezing the bulb. It takes a while but it can be done as I have done it this way on a BobCat 863.

I also have a 863, and there is a plate with three bolts underneath the engine compartment, near the rear set of wheels. I took it off the other day, but didn't find anything but a bunch of dirt and grease. After cleaning it out, there appeared to be a drain plug of some sort under the plate, but I didn't mess with it. Does yours have this plate, and have you ever taken it off?

Thank you so much! We did indeed do that last night. I squeezed and squeezed until no more fuel would come out. I then poured what I retrieved into a new can, it seemed to be a less than what i thought i put it. Is there anyway to know for sure that i got it all? Thank you, you are a life saver!!!

Syphon? in reply to mindyb, 10-17-2006 10:50:02
You might syphon some more out of there. IF you had a manual you could find out where/if there is a drain. Truth is, you don't need to get ALL the unleaded out of there, just most of it. Then refill with good clean diesel and prime the system.

If you ran it at all with mostly gas, you would probably want to change fuel filters before priing the system. A little gas won't hurt but mostly gas is not good.
