Any place in ny to get injector pumps rebuilt? We have a compressor with a jd 4 cylinder diesel that sat for a very long time. Fuel was really nasty. There's a lot of debris coming out the return line. Rebuild time or maybe just a good cleaning? Any ideas greatly appreciated. Located on ny southern tier. Thanks! Joe Fabregas

There are pump shops all over New York - just look in the phone book (or Internet). E.g., Dick Laing's in Binghamton, Ralph's Diesel in Cazenovia, etc. An older Deere power-unit most likely has a Stanadyne DB or JDB pump - probably the easiest rotary pump ever made (to work on). When I was working for any Deere dealer - we would of sent someone over - pulled the pump off right there, fixed it, and put it back on - all in less than a day. But now?? Good luck. I live in NY - but I'm not sure what you call Southern Tier. City people around Manhattan an Brooklyn call anything north of them "upstate NY" - yet I live 170 miles North of the city - and this is only Central New York - sometimes called the Leatherstocking area. To us - upstate or Northern Tier is along the Canadian border.

Greetings from Waverly Tenn. I used to live near Waverly West Virginia. Dont think I've been thru a state yet that didnt have a Waverly in it. I was thru your country several years ago, beautiful this time of year.

That's pretty funny. Thanks for the note. I don't remember if it was named for Waverly crackers or Waverly novels. About 1848 when the Erie RR came through. Actually I'm in the woods outside Chemung but a Waverly PO. At least if I say Waverly you can usualy find it on a map. If I say Chemung I get that blank stare. Leaves are mostly gone and it's gettin dreary but spring is comin. Warmest regards! Joe Fabregas

I'm sure many longtime NASCAR fans would know about Chemung, mainly because of the Bodine brothers, LOL.
