after searching for two months i finally bought 2 450 crawlers. one i believe is a striaght 450 and the other is a 450c. the 450c runs good, but wont move almost acts like something between the motor and tranny came disconnected. the 450 is missing part of the motor, but otherwise looks to be in good condition. i was wondering if the final drives and housings off the 450c would fit on the straight 450 so that i could have wet steering clutches on it. thanks

thanks guys i checked jdparts and it looks like the final drives are different, but the steering clutch housings are the same. so i might try swaping them if i cant fix the 450c tranny.

you can go to jdparts.com and pull up the parts breakdown for both machines and compare numbers and diagrams. this may help some but I have found different part numbers for what looked to be the same part. As always, when trying to swap parts like this you are getting into a lot of work that may be for nothing in the end.

Maybe someone will correct me on this - but as I recall the finals are different and so are the steering clutch housings. But, I can't say I ever tried swapping parts between the two.
