Steering clutchs loose there working free play as they wear adjust rods on each lever to have a minnimum of 3 " at the top before they contact the
release bearing { the point that resistance start
to build up ] Steering breaks remove small covers
on rear of tractor under fuel tank and tight or loosen till the pedals go down about half way.
Under the tractor inside each final drive is a set screw with lock nut, remove and clean threads and
oil . turn lock nut well onto the screw. then screw the screw back into the hole gently till it contacts the brake band and in till you feel the
band contact the drum. then back it off 1 round
and hold it and tighten the lock nut. this keeps the band centered and off the top of the drum
when the brakes are released , preventing wear.
