I have a 610 with a wisconsin engine and a zenith carburetor on it. I recently rebuilt the carb with a NAPA kit. When running over idle the machine floods out and doesn"t speed up. Does anyone have any sugestions? Should I find a remanufactured carb or a new one? If so where would I find one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you ever get it working?

No the float is not stuck. I adjusted it again and it still floods out. Take out the air ajustment screw and it still floods out. Runs good at idle though, only problem is you can"t do anything at an idle. I am now looking for a new, professionally rebuilt, or a different carburetor. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Sounds like the float isn't adjusted right if it's actually flooding out..

It may also be that some small particles got into the carb and caused the float to stick- try LIGHTLY tapping on the carb housing with a hammer.

The float on my carb (Model 500 Bobcat) was stuck and causing fuel to overflow out the side of the carb; it was easily remedied with a few taps.
