today while trying to get my dozer in a postion to work on, I got trans pressure. so I movet it by its own power to what I think might be a better place to work on it.My transmissuion works when it has pressure but I need to find out where the metal parts come from . Is there a way to look inside the transmission without pulling it out. Could the bearing parts be from the final drive. Or is pulling all the stuff out the only way

1)The bearing pieces you found in the screen can only come from the transmission, not the final drives.
2)The transmission must be removed with the final drives attatched.
3)Your pressure problem could be simply transmission pump sucking air - cavitating - check all suction hoses, if their ok your pump may need attention
4)The bearing pieces you found could be from the 2 speed - check the input shaft for movement.
Could also be from pinion shafts - brakes need to removed to check, - was there any problems with brakes? Bad noises would have been heard while operating.
5)Bearing pieces could also be from previous failure & never been cleaned out of screen after repair had been made. - How long have you owned machine? - maybe fix cavitation & closely monitor screen for more contamination.
Cheers!

I have only had the dozer about 4 mounths.I heard no noises to alert me to any problems. The right stering doesn't work and didn't when I got the machine. I have noticet that at times it would take some time foe the traqnsmission pressure to build up. Saturday while trying to move the machine by chaining it to trees and pulling with the angle blade I noticed that I had pressure and drove it about 75 yards to a bgetter work place. I haven't checked it today and won't get a chance to. I will check the places you talked about . Can I pull the break off with the transmission still in the dozer. Things will be real close to take it off and then will I be able to get it back on. thanks a lot

Yes you can remove brakes. I find it easier to remove belly plate & work from above & under machine.
You said right steer was not working, I guess you mean right brake? You should mainly steer using trans hi-low & brakes only when tighter turning is required.
Check to see if brake hydraulics are working, it may simply require adjustment. If hydraulics are working & it doesn't adjust up - a clevis pin may have fallen out in the internal linkages

I ran the motor for about 30 min. last night. did not get any trans pressure.I got the hydralics to work on the steering breaks at one time but the right never did work. I just opreate with useing them. I have not got into a place where I really need them. Its dark when I get homed from work so it goes slow working on this machine. I will need to build a tent over it to keep out of the weather. Normal the treans pressure came up real quick. a couple of times it took about 2 min. to come up. Sometimes it took about 30 seconds. If I have to pull the transmission it look like it will be a massive job. espicaly being outside without a garage. Would it be best to pull the ropes cage and the cab . in order to get a straight down pull to all this stuff.I quess the cheapest and easiest thing to do first is change the filters and check for air leaks. Finding filters at a parts store will be troublesomes but I need to know where to obatin them any way. I will spend some more time going over the service manunal to get an ideal of what involved thanks
