I've got a new/used dozer and wanted to know how the manual blade angle works. The dozer has a 4 way blade with the blade top to bottom angle set by a jack screw on the left hand side. The right is fixed. What is the best way to use this feature and what is it for?

HD11 blades with manual tilt should have adjustment on both sides at top. Angle blades had 3 positions - pull 2 pins 1 on either side, then move blade about front center pivot and repin. They also had a hydraulic option for tilt but primitive and not common.

What do you do with the 2 way settings? Tilt the face front to back and/or use it to make one corner lower than the other?

What did you buy? If I understand you this isnt angle this is tilt . set it cocked up or down use it to dig around trees or get a level cut started on a hillside working at a right angle to slope

I got a Fiat Allis 11B. Can't wait till it drys out enough to start using it. May be spring though. It's got a straight blade with up and down and a manual screw tilt.

How much can you cock the blade? If got a bunch of trees of all sizes to take out and thought that if I could angle one corner down I could cut the roots at the base and then push them over. The larger ones may need a ramp built for more leverage.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help.
