Don't many Bobcats have an electric/hydraulic solenoid valve to prevent the bucket from going down - in certain situations - like when no one is sitting in the seat or the engine is not running?

Make sure the hoses are connected properly. If they get crossed lift will work cause it has more power than lower. All the hoses from one of the valve outlets needs to go to the same port on both cylinders and the other valve outlet has to go to same other 2 ports on the cylinders. When I first put my loader on my tractor the hoses got crossed and would only lift. Hope this helps. Dave

Are the linkages for the valve adjusted right?
