where is serial number

Where is the serial number on an IH 175B? I was able to pull the following off the motor. Can anyone tell me what I have?
407TT2U039 stamped
74920791
63551?-1 on plate next to it.

Bad thing they were on a plate right under your left elbo sitting in the unit you might say on the seat frame left side.. so if the seat were ever changed so was the serial numbe.. SOME not all of the B series had the unit serial number stamped up and down right on the rear housing
on right side rear. IF you walked up to the unit from the rear and tried to hug the unit about even with the draw bar your right fingers would be on the stamped number..If it is real square on the weldment that caries the radiator top won,t be there but if it is rounded off on the radiator welment then should be on rear housing.. Hope this helps..

i found the plate but I can't read it. the batteries are in the way. I guess I will have to pull them out.
