Got the transmission pump going all I had to do is replace the seals in it,thanks a lot for all the information I got. Which is the best way to remove the right brake from a case 450b Should I just take the houseing off the mounting plate or take it all off with the mounting plate . Is it best to take it upward or downward through the bottom.what extra needs to come off. I have the transmission plate off and would like to get the brakes working before I put it back on.

(The left works but the right doesn't) I had the hydralic part working on the breaks but it still did not work. It would travel the correct distance with no results. I even pulled them up manunaly still with no results.Stiff to pull but I got it up. The plug on front of the brake houseing is missing I don't know what effect this will have on the break might have trash in that won't let it work .I don't know. I have not seen enough room to take the break downward and out. If I take it upward I will have to take of some hydralic lines still don't know if I would have enough room to remove it that direction. Is There room to remove the break housing without removeing the transmission like the book says. I don't have the equipment or building to do that with. If I had to do all that I would just say forget it. I have been useing the dozer without the break any way.

I guess you could call this the right steering brake. I can get movement out of the arm but it doesn't stop the track. I have moved it manualy and it still doesn't work . It does disingage when I press the foot petal so that parts works. It acts like a clevis pin has came off inside the housing.I need to take it apart to see. Just wondering which way to proceed.

when you say right steering brake and foot petal it can just be your brake fluid is gone or the brake is out of adjustment. BUT do you know that the foot pedat brakes are NOT for real turning. they are ONLY for very limited use like in a emergency or close guarters. DO NOT use them all the time us the power turn on the leavers
