Flywheel HP on a 2010 is 52 which puts it well above a 350. The torque may not be alot more, 350's are quite good in that respect. As to clutches, as JDEMARIS said, that has nothing to do with the 2010. Parts can be a little hard to come by compared to 350/450 but not as difficult as you might think. Its like anything else, if you abuse it, it breaks.
Pump should not be that hard to find. Check the undercarraige, that can cost you alot of money in a big jurry.

What exactly did I write, that you refer to with "As to clutches, as JDEMARIS said, that has nothing to do with the 2010?"

What has "nothing do do" with a 2010? Are you saying that keeping a crawler dry - or keeping pressure off the steering clutches for long-term storage does not help with a 2010? In regard to power - I've never seen torque-specs for the 2010, just run them and had them on the dyno. I don't consider them "dead" as the one guy stated - but not an awful lot more powerful than a 350. Most 2010 deisels will put out 46 horse on the dyno, whereas a 350 will put out 38-39 and the first 450s around 54. Those figures seem to coincide with how much and how fast the crawlers push dirt.

I was reiterating what you said, that the clutches sticking is a function of a dry clutch, and not a function of it being a 2010. Therefore I said that the steering clutches sticking had nothing to do with it being a 2010, and meant that he should not be afriad of it for that reason.

Okay. I was responding to RLH saying his steering clutches in his 2010 got stuck whenever it sat. That was a common complaint with all the dry-clutch crawlers - but it can be pretty easily prevented. That was, and is , my point.

Any dry-clutch crawler will do that - if has the standard fiber clutch disks. And, just about any dry clutch crawler will be fine and not get stuck - if you take some care with it. Drain the steering-clutch housings once in awhile, or - install vents, keep the machine covered, and tie the steering-clutch levers back when put in storage. I can leave my Deere 1010, 1010, 350, or Allis HD4 and HD6 parked for any amount of time and they don't get stuck. In regard to the 2010 crawler being "dead" - I guess that depends on what you compare it too. At 40 horsepower - it has slightly more pushing power than a later Deere 350 crawler, and it's about 10 horse shy of a 450.

My 2010 runs great when it’s running… But the moment you start have problems with it your in trouble. If a repair is need, it’s usually something major. If you work on it for a few weeks and get it running again, it’s got plenty of power for a small machine. Then something else breaks and I have to invest more time and money to get her going again. Rebuilt pumps are available at some JD dealers, you just have to call around (Had to fix that a few times too). If you want my opinion, spend a little more money and get yourself a nice Caterpillar..
