Wiring for dummies!

My case is in electrical disarray. I've installed a new undercarriage and a new exhaust system (rusty bolts suck!) and now I wish to tackle the wiring. I don't need nor do I wish to wire any lighting (i've removed all the lights anyway), not a big fan of working in the dark, too dangerous. At any rate, i'm no mechanic and i would like to totally strip and rewire the machine. I guess be able to start it and charge the battery. The battery now dies all the time, always have to jump it to get it started and thats not good. Any ideas? Thanks.

SIMLPY PUT
One wire GM alternator, run one wire to battery, with a cut off switch so you can break the circuit when not in use.and you're done.

If you don't get advice more specific to your CASE, Bob Melville, over on the Farmall Forum, has drawn up, and graciously made available a series of wiring diagrams of various combinations of charging and ignition system circuits.

Most likely, one of his diagrams will work nicely with the setup your machine has.

Anyhow, the link is below... take a look for yourself if you'd like:
