Recently put my steering clutches back together started the tractor and when I pull back on either clutch lever the tractor stops moving. Any body have any suggestions? Out of adjustment? Won't steer either direction. Know I put it back together ok-but maybe something not adjusted?

Andy , do you have any freeplay on your clutch
release forks? .It sounds to me, that maby both clutches are either loaded up to the point that
with the two of them they are capable to move the
cat , but one by itself starts slipping. or some
of de fiber disc's in the stack's lost their teeth.( unlikely ]. oil between the clutch disc's could make them slip too. also there can't be any sideway's movement on clutches and the shaft that
supports them.

Fred- I tightened the collars equally on both sides, locked the set screw down and safety wired it in place. I can see the collars and the shaft when I pull back on the levers and they don't move. Is the clutch shaft a solid piece that goes through both clutches? Can't figure how the clutches work. If I could-I could probably figure out what's wrong.
