I spotted a A.C. model M has sat there(in the same place)for 'bout 2?years. ok what should i look for when investigating a crawler sorry but i dont have a clue...like undercarrage what is that?? thanks in advance

Where are you located? I am also interested in an M which was advertised...
The undercarriage is everything that holds up the crawler. The tracks (especially pins and bushings; wear holes in the bushings through to the pins), the sprockets that drive the tracks (do they still have teeth?), the steering clutches, the rollers that the track rides on, the tensioning mechanism for the track, and the frame where the crawlers attach to the dozer. (I'm not an expert, either, so anyone is free to help me out on this, too.)
