wont start

i have a deere 1010 dozer that wont start. when i try to turn the starter over i noticed a click and the connector on the postitive side got very hot. whats going on?

When that happens to me (which is often), i usually talk dirty to it and she'll fire right up. And by talking dirty i mean clean off all my electrical connections. lol

To start with remove that positive connector and clean it and the post very thoroughly. You have a bad connection and heat shows up because of the resistance created by the poor connection.
