No brakes in backhoe filled up master cylinders and still no brakes. What grade of oil is mineral oil??

If the previous owner put in brake fluid what kind of damage could this have done?

Is there a way to drain out fluid and do these brakes need to be bled like a car system? i don't see any bleeder fitting

thank you,

You can get the minerial oil at a Ford New Holland dealer. regular brake fluid will cause the seals in the master cyl. and the brake pistons to swell and get soft.

Yes you have to bleed the brakes, on the back axle where the brake pipe connects you should find a bleed nipple on each side, open one nipples, fill the reservoirs with hydraulic fluid and pump the pedal for that side to get rid of the brake fluid,do the same with the other side, when you expel the old fluid bleed the brakes in the normal manner.

The same as you are using the main hydraulics, Shell Tellus will be ok.
