Will a hoe bucket from one manufacture to another fit another manufactures machine. I am looking for a 36" bucket for a 580 CK Case (70's vintage).

Big hunter you are a bit far away. I am in Minnesota. I was hoping buckets would fit from one machine to the next, but I guess not. I have been thinking about building one, but if I did I would have an awful lot of time in it plus parts.

I have a 310sg when I bought it I bought an attachment (kinda) that the john deere, case, or cat will pin up to...there are differences in pin location (how far apart they are from each other)

You may need to have new bushings put in and other things as well.

If the support ears are too close, you're pretty much out of luck, but if they are too far apart, you can weld in spacers.

I did the exact thing converting a JD310 36" bucket to a Ford mount. Bucket was $90, but the bushings and welding was $236. Still 320 for a decent bucket isn't too bad.

You just gave me a good suggestion. I will keep a drawing of my mounting brackets and pin spacing. If I find one with the correct spacing between pins I can cut the mounts off and re-weld them back on wider or narrower.

The operators manual I have for the 580 says there is one available. I did not think one would work for this machine until I saw what the manual had in it.

Haven't had much luck matching my Ford 755 with other buckets I've seen advertised. But that doesn't mean your Case won't match something. I just ask about pin spacing, pin diameter, distance between ears when I'm looking around for a 12" trench bucket.

Many of the manufactures buckets don't interchange between their own different models. So finding one that fits your 580 will just be by chance. Neighbor had a 580 bucket that wouldn't fit my JD 310A. You will need to take measurements of the pin ODs and spacings.
Good Luck.
