I am trying to get my Trackhoe home and I have a question.
Can the machine be winched with the hydraulic track motors attached or do they have to be removed?
I had a wrecker operator bring this up and I thought that it may be important.
Brian.

Wadya gonna do about return oil?????I don't remember if that machine has hydraulic drive finals??If so , Take the final drive covers off and pull out the shaft or planetaries , whichever is easier..Now it will roll.If it's chain drive , take the chains off ..Take the crowd cylinder hoses loose and push the crown in so you can knuckle it under..Snug the hoses back up..hire a hoe or dozer to push it onto a carryall..It ain't easy , but it can be done....I once loaded a dead Cat D-6 onto the side of a carryall with a Deere 450-C dozer..At the Deere dealer I worked at years ago , We had to move our own jobs around with another machine all the time without assistance..Got pretty good at it too..

Hi Roy, It does have hydraulic drive. I was wondering if I had to pull the motor, but you said I can pull the driveshaft?

you could try hooking up a smaller engine and pump into the system to run it, it will be slow but it should move to some extent with luck.
