Looking for a good idea what it costs to have 2 sprokets turned down to install weld on sprockets? When welding them on should you leave spaces, if so how long should each weld be? What's the best rod to use? Any special secrets? thanks

I have always cut them off with a torch. I have never done any other than cat. If available for you model tractor I would recommend welding on rings for bolt on segments. then all you have to do is unbolt to replace the teeth. You have you money back the next time you have to replace the sprocket teeth.

The ones I've seen just fit over the hub and are welded on. Weld them all the way around with 7018 and you should have no problems. If it ever has to be replaced you just grind the weld off and weld a new one on. Make sure the hub is steel and weld the side the sprocket fits over. A supplier that sells them should have more info.
