Hey Uncle, I got a chance to check my manual stash the other day and I've got a manual for a 451C Bantam excavator. It gives all the machines specs from actual machine weight to it's lifting capacities and everything in between. It also has the adjustment proceedures for the hydraulic circiuts, repair proceedures for the pumps, lubrication specs, etc etc. It's probably 50 to 75 pages or so long, I didn't do an exact count. It's in a service school manual with several other models. It's partly in color and partly black and white and is in excellent condition. I'm not looking to part with the origional, I might run up on a customer with one someday, but if your interested and not in a huge hurry for it, I'd be more than happy to copy it for you if your willing to cover the copy cost. Either way if you need any info that might be in it just ask and I'll see if it's there. Just let me know.... Wayne....Nota55Nomad@AOL.com

Hey Wayne,
It would be great to have a copy.
Just let me know how much you need to cover copy/shipping.
I never even imagined that I would ever have a chance to have this kind of info.
Brian

Hey Brian, it might take me a little while to get tiem to run in and make the copies but I'll let you know when I do. The only part that's "in color" is the first two pages, front and back, which is in red, black, and white, and is on a little heavier stock paper. I believe it's actually a brochure like you'd pick up at the dealership for the new machines punched and put in the book with the rest of the stuff. Everything else is black on blue paper or pink paper. I may be able to do the first couple of pages by hand on my copier/scanner and get the color for you, I'll give it a try anyway. The rest I'll have to take to Kinkos to get done since my machine won't do front and back. I'm covered up at work right now and also covered with side jobs so, like I said, it might take me a couple of weeks to get to town but I'll do it as soon as I can. In the meantime if you get to needing any info just let me know. Too I remember seeing you talking about the engine being locked up and asking about pouring penetrant down the stack. I made a post but it was a few days after your origional so I don't know if you went back and saw it or not. You can look back if you want but basically what I said was you might want to pull the airbox covers to gain direct access to all four pistons and liners through the intake ports in the liners. Too you were asking about towing it and I didn't see any definitive answer bck on that. According to the book the brake assembly is incorporated into the gearbox, right where the motor sockets in. That being the case if you take the drive motors loose from the gearbox and then using a hand pump pressurize the brakes to release them it should go anywhere you pull it as long as you keep the pressure up to keep the brakes released. Hope this info helps and I'll get to the book ASAP. Wayne
