Hi, looking for info.
I don't know anything hardly at all about excavators, or rock hammers, but probably gonna buy one somewhere. Buying used is always a risk, but I'm not in the excavating buiness, just doing my own work, clearing rock & leveling etc on a few acres on my own time. I'm here in C. Oregon...big time rock country. Yesterday I drove to Seattle/Tacoma area & looked at this Liebherr 945 excavator to buy.(long day) Can't find any tag for #'s etc, except down on the turn table thingie under cab. That tag hard to read & had about a gizillion #'s on it & German(?) words.
I think this is a late '70's or early to mid '80's machine & looking at it I think it weighs about 65,000#, has an aircooled Dietz engine, after mkt. thumb, & machine seemed to be so-so. If I get it, it needs cleaning-up & a bit TLC.

1. Anybody know where a tag with ser. & Model #'s should be on this machine?
2. Where can I find some info, parts book, service book, oper. book etc, or other info?
3. Looking round on internet I see "Litronic" listed on newer Liebherr machines....anybody know what this means?
4. These newer machines with "metric" model #'s, like "200 something"...or a "200 class"...I think that is kg, right? How do you figure the machine wt?
5. Anyone know of Liebherr dealer or anything in Portland, or NW area? Wa, Or, Id, N Cal?
Thanks
James
