I have a Case 1816C skidloader. The problem is that the skidloader favors going to the left until the skidloader warms up. Then the steering is better but not equal steering. Any info. would be appreciated.

More than likely you have a wheel drive motor and or hydrastatic pump worn and weak. very expensive to repair( and Case dealer the only one who has the parts). If you can still use the machine the way it is thats what I would do untill it gets really bad. I have an 1835 Case that I rebuilt one wheel motor on about 7 years ago, doing all the work myself and it cost $900 from Case for the gerotor kit($300 would of been too much) It helped a lot but still is not as strong as the other side. I just use the machine for myself about 100 hours a year and it gets the job done but Ive been expecting something to give out anytime. These systems have all the hydraulics running thru the same oil and if one part wears then all parts are affected so the only way to fix it right is to do a complete rebuild and that would cost two times what the machine is worth.

Will,
I live in northwest Iowa. Thanks for your info.I adjusted the linkage. I wonder if the left pump could be weak or partially blocked? I have to zig-zag until the temp gets warmer then I don't zig-zag but I have keep forward pressure on the left steering arm and move the right steering arm back and forth to go straight. I love my skidloader, perfect for moving snow on sidewalks.
