I have located an Allis Chalmers HG6 Crawler Loader from a used equipment dealer.
I understand since it has a clutch and transmission that it is a little slow for construction work.
I would like to buy something to use on my farm and to make a couple of farm ponds, and dig a basement for a house.
It started right up on the coldest day of the year. The tracks are worn farily smooth, and the bushings are starting to be marked by the rollers. Since I don't know anything about the value, is $7,000 delivered to the farm about right. It is supposed to be about 40% UC (according to sales person.

Phil,
My guess is that is a little on the high side. Last year I bought a Case 450 crawler loader with new chains rollers and spockets for about 8k mid 70's vintage. I would look for something with a torque convertor...cause crawlers are slow!!

that seems high considering the couple thousand you would need to spend to make the under carriage fit to use. you would hate yourself for buying it it tracks are that worn out. i've been there. buy on condition and i love my olivers but torque convertor crawlers do alot more work.. good luck
