I have fixed HLR linkage from shifter down to the Arm on side of the transmission. I even pulled arm and drilled an replaced pin on it. I even tried to put a washer beteeen the arm and the tranny housing to take up in and out movement of shaft that the arm is mounted on but had to give up because shaft is keyed and when I tried to put the arm on the shaft, it would retreat back into the housing so that the arm would not flush up with the end of the shaft.

I have jsut replaced cluthc packs, tranny pump, and tranny runs well but there is some linkage problem in that the shift doesnt engage the L or H
untill U reshift or wiggle the Shifter every once in a while but enough to notice.

Pressures in tranny are adequate and tranny seems to be strong. I am almost certain that it is linkage either at or inside from the shifter arm inward inside the transmission.

All thoughts or help appreciated?

When shifting from high-low-reverse you should feel the shifter stop a detent in the clutch control unit. I tried redrilling linkages to make them work, but found out from Roy that it is just about imposible to get them exactly where they should be.I ended up buying new linkage parts and my problem went away.
