my 420 crawler would not turn left;the brake would stop it,but the clutch wouldn't disengage.I found that the linkage to the throwout bearing was broken and the pin to the shoe was missing.I replaced both still no good, when i pull the left side,i can here the throwout bearing click as if its moving out to far.The clutches look good?any ideas

If the steering lever moves so far back that you hear the throwout bearing holder click, your clutch is grossly out of adjustment, and/or you have linkage adjusted incorrectly inside the clutch housing.

The pressure plate moves so little in operation that you can hardly see it move. The TO (throwout) bearing moves a lot more. If the three arms on the pressure plate are not adjusted evenly you can move two and not the third and get the same symptom because there will be pressure remaining on the pack.

If the TO is adjusted even too close (in contact with the forks) it will not move "too far" and shouldn't click. You probably have a TO fork or linkage problem on the pressure plate, or could have the pack not assembled properly.

Thank you for the reply,I"m not sure what the TO is,but I will try to adjust the linkage.the cluches seem to be ok.when you put the presure plate on the clutch pack theirs not a lot of room for the plate to disengage, maybee a 1/4 of an inch
