I am rebuilding a TD9 with a Bucyrus erie bull grader blade on it. Is there any possibility of getting the cutting edge from anywhere? Dose any one make these old edges? I have part numbers

your help will be greatly appreciated

I called an aftermarket man in Texas when I was replacing the edge on my International Td9-B. I gave him the dimensions (6" X 5/8" X 4' I think), the bolt hole pattern, and asked if he had anything that would be close. He had 4 edges from a Cat D6 maybe? that fit the dimensions and he said was surplus. He didn't have end bits, but I chop sawed one of the edges into end bits, bolted them on (bolts, nuts from IH, fairly cheap too), and they have worked fine. I think I gave $300.00 for the four , 4' edges.
Don't know whether that was a good price or not, but I needed them, so it worked out OK.

Most blade manufacturers can custom make blades or punch different holes for your application. They might even have the right blade in stock or the proper specs for it. I don't know if the older edges were standardized or not. Dave

i would just make one from any cutting edge unless theres something special about the B/E one just go get a edge from anywhere and cut it to fit

Unless you're really good with a cutting torch, most blades are heat treated and very hard to drill. After getting your holes countersunk for plow bolts, you need to make them square to hold the head of the bolt. That's why it's not so easy to just adapt any old blade. Blade makers have special machines for doing this. It would be nice if they were all universal but I think every manufacturer is different. Dave

oh i always use a plasma cutter you should just ask someone like a welder or fabricator to cut the holes for it i know its a pain but if you cant find the right edge you dont really have any other options Bill
