I have a 1974 JD 350 crawler with diesel fuel leaking into the crankcase oil. I changed the fuel tranfer pump, and it's still leaking. Can the Roosa master C injector pump leak? If so can the seals be replaced?
Thanks,
Charlie

It takes a one piece seal - and it differs bewtween the CDC and the CBC pumps. If you cannot find the new seals, I probably have a few new ones laying around.

Also when changing the seals, be sure and check condition of bushing in injector pump were seals ride. If bushing is worn, pump must be took apart to replace bushing.

If I'm not mistaking on that pump is one of the ones with the "umbrella" seals on the shaft. If so they are notorious to leak and can be a royal pain to change. If they are bad you might want to get someone that knows what their doing to change them or it's real easy to make the problem even worse of the new seals get rolled or otherwise don't go in right. Good luck.

No - there are no umbrellas seals on the C pumps. You're thinking about the DB and JDB series - which are totally different.

The pump will be either a CDC or a CBC. Both take one-piece lip-type seals that press in the front.

C series on early 350s can be CDC331-3DG, CDC331-4DG, CDC331-6DG, CBC331-1AL, CBC331-6AL, or CBC331-16AL.

Thanks for setting me straight. I see so many different kinds and brands of equipment on a regular basis they all tend to run together sometimes.
