I have a deere 310B(backhoe). The clutch slips and then it will all of a sudden get grip. Is there a way to adjust it to get grip as soon as I release the clutch? or is it just a warn out part.

Put a pressure gauge in the reverser control valve[bottom plug on rear cover]..I use a 6 to 8 ft 1/4" hydraulic hose so I can watch it from the operators seat..When you release the clutch pedal , you are moving a spool in the reverser control valve to pressurize a clutch pack in the reverser.. Watch the pressure gauge when you release the pedal to see if it goes to full pressure within 2 to 3 seconds..If not , there's a problem within the reverser unit or linkage roll pins..If the engine clutch is slipping, The gauge will fluxuate up and down with engine rpms because of the clutch grabbing and slipping...This test is done with the brakes down and trans in gear..Pressures should be 135 to 155...The higher the better..
