Do you have a manual for the reverser? It is gss-1264. According to the manual(which is common on tractors also) on crawlers, you remove the engine and clutch housing. My manual is not real clear as some of what I have is a reprint. Hey could I use your pictures on my website on the maint page?

If you have any more email them to t340crawler@gmail.com

Thanks

Joe

Hi joe, I have a manual, but like you it is a reprint so some of the pics aint the best, I ended up taking the engine out today, have the throw out bearing out, and the bolts out that hold the first set of gears in,, [PTO gears if I read right]? tommorow I am going to start pulling them out and hope I dont loose any pieces, there was actually ice in the bottom of the oil in the case,, and of course my salamander broke,, oh well,

I was just thinking if you may want pictures of the parts, or pieces when I saw your post on rpm, yes you can use any pics I have put up, I will send you more if you like when I get them, pat

Pat,

I do have a really good original copy of the parts manual if the breakdown would help you at all. That gear is one of the reasons I bought the parts machine, because I heard that they were a weak link and my would grind every now and then unless I throttled the machine down to use switch back and forth to forward and reverse. I could scan the page in and email it to you. If you want it email me and I will try to get to it tomorrow. I am kind of curious how hard it will be to replace it. Keep me updated. Did you replace your steering brake linings and where did you get them and how much were they? Excuse me if you alreay posted your source. I may have missed it. I wish you well on the reverser. What do you think of my site? I thought it may help in cases like these. Especially with pictures.

Joe
