I cannot remember who told me what to do but have read the manual and I think with some adjusments I can make both tracks run very close to the same speed. This is a safety factor mainly for loading and unloading. My problem is how to accsess the adjustments on the Hydrostats. I do not want to reinvent the wheel so what do I remove to get to the adjustments while it is jacked up so the tracks can move free.

Thanks Toby

The easiest adjustment to do is the pump displacement " zero out the tracks adjustment"..Under the fuel tank , pull the tin..Inside there on the upper portion of the hydrostatic is a square block with pointer in a round guard..There is a plug on the back side [ facing you].. Inside is an allen screw [ 1/8"].Turn it in or out till the track stops , on both sides..I have a homemade allen wrench arrangement , sort of looks like this to adjust this..Tee handle with about 18" of shaft with the 18" allen wrench brazed to it..Good Luck.

That is what I thought but I did not want to spend a day figuring it out. Thanks for the tip to make a wrench.

I have a john deere 850 long track, wide track, mid 1980's model. The only adjustment I have ever made to balance the speed of each track, remove the floor plate where your feet would be if you were sitting in the seat, all adjustments are located in this area, you will need a service manual for the adjustments, deere still can produce this book, a little pricy though.

Do you have extra rollers or know where I can find some. Someone told me I may be able to find the outside casting portion of the roller, have you ever heard of this, deere only list the complete roller. After market (berco) suppliers only list the complete roller.
