Need Advice On JD 350C

I have received helpful advice on here before on this machine, but at this point I am tired of fiddling with it. I'd like an opinion on whether it would be better to get rid of it by parting it out or just selling it as is. It runs great, but the fluid runs out of the reverser into the transmission. I have been told the seals in the steering clutches are bad and I just don't have time to get into the project. Aren't some 350C parts hard to get? That is why I was thinking about parting it out. I'm not worried about making a bunch of cash, but I'd like to get out of it what I have in it if possible.
Thanks for any help.

The worst part of doing the steering clutches would be getting the tracks off. Other than that its not a bad job at all, probably wouldnt be too expensive either. Just remember these little guys arent getting any easier to find and they dont make anything new thats like it at all.

Thanks for the advice. CH, I think I actually bought the bucket for it from you. I don"t know... I"ve got $3000 in the machine at this point and I can"t decide what to do. I wanted this one because it was small enough to haul with my truck. I have enough mechanical ability to get by, but I sure don"t need another "project" machine at this point.

I think it's a common problem. I'm not sure if it's the steering clutch seals or not. I totally rebuilt the brakes and final drives on a 355D which is basically the same machine. The JD dealer said if the tranny is over filled it can take out more seals. The final drives weren't too bad to work on. I'm not sure about the rest of the machine. If the machine is in decent shape otherwise, I wouldn't part it out. After I sold my unit I think it started doing the same thing as yours. The guy that bought it can fix it. I gave him a really good deal. Actually sold for less than I had in it. The worst problem was that after selling it for less the guy took over a year to pay for it with no interest. He kept giving me excuses and even gave me 1 bad cheque. I new it was probably bad but took it to the bank anyway so he could pay NSF charges. Dave
