Sent you email on the parts. Have them except rotor you may want to reface and use new brushes as those are about $70 now. Also have another Bosch MJK 4/2, 360, C47 mag to rebuild and get rid of later.

Hi Kelley, glad to hear you're getting close.
You can still get most of the parts for the mag from Cat, or try www.standardmagneto.com or www.magnetoparts.com
I'm told Cat no longer has the cover gasket.
Good luck with start up.....

Hi good to hear from you. Ended up taking crank out again, could'nt turn it over when I torqued down rear main. Had to take another half thou. off crank, now it seems good. Decided to put pony back on and just use electric start for warm starts. Batterys wont fit where pony was because loader will be in the way to get them in and out. Let you know when I get running, hopefully in next two weeks. Later, Kelley

Wow, tough break having to do the crank twice.
Yes, the batteries got located behind/under the seat when direct electric start was offered on the later 12A series 955 traxcavator.

What brand magneto? Bosch, Wico, Fairbanks Morse, Eisemann, Edison Splitdorf...?? I might have something but a brand name and mag number would help rather than having to check all the cross number charts. You might even find points and condenser thru a auto supply if Wico or FM mag.
